Scammers Posing as Potential Employers on the Rise

Scammers are always trying to find that hook that can gain them access into somebody’s life. Apparently, that newest hook is the job market. CBS News is reporting that The Better Business Bureau says fraud involving fake job offers now ranks as the third riskiest type of scam for consumers. And it’s costly. On average, it costs each victim $6,000. In total, Americans report losing $2.9 million this year alone as a result of fake job offer scams.
