Saddle River, New Jersey is on the verge of penalizing owners of dogs that bark too loud and too long. The town council is amending a noise ordinance. The time restriction bans dogs from barking, howling or yelping longer than 20 minutes between 7 am and 10 pm. Overnight, the window shortens to 15 minutes. Dog owners could face a $1000 fine and up to 90 days in jail or 90 days of community service. A vote on the bill takes place on March 18th.

Well, in one New Jersey town that could cost you a fine of $100-$1,000. https://t.co/vMHi8TmqiJ
