Tom Hardy to Star in ‘Venom’

He played a formidable villain for DC Comics, and now he’ll do the same for Marvel: Tom Hardy has signed on to lead “Venom,” a spinoff movie in Marvel’s expanding universe. Mr. Hardy will play Eddie Brock, a vengeful reporter who fuses with a powerful alien parasite to become Venom. The character was previously played by Topher Grace in the 2007 film “Spider-Man 3,” as one of the web-slinger’s main antagonists.

Arnold Schwarzenegger, James Cameron making new ‘Terminator’

He’ll be back. Again. Action star and former California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger will star in a new Terminator movie produced by James Cameron, Screen reported on Saturday. “It is back,” Schwarzenegger is quoted as saying, adding that he and Cameron, who directed the original 1984 film and created the series, met recently to discuss the project. “It is moving forward. (Cameron) has some good ideas of how to continue with the franchise.”

King of Kong musical being written

In an interview with IGN, The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters Director Seth Gordon confirmed that a musical based on the 2007 documentary is being worked on. Gordon said some scripts have been written, and that the sheer drama of the story would lend itself to a stage musical, stating ‘there’s such a melodrama, and so many of the characters are actually musicians, and the music of the games too, is a thing.’
