Blindlove Live At Kilby Court

On December 21, 2022, Blindlove performed a tight set of new unreleased songs at Kilby Court, and we were there. This Utah band gained national attention with their debut pandemic-era anthem “I Wanna Be Okay” in 2020.

Since then, the band had a few false starts at touring. Bassist Tom Durrant said, “Any time we planned something, Covid would come back and mess everything up.” Despite the recurring quarantines and band members dealing with their own Covid-19 diagnoses, they soldiered on. “This gave us time to write and record. And that’s mostly what we did,” said vocalist and songwriter Brogan Kelby. The band was able to get a few shows together, including an epic performance at Utah Tech University in St. George in front of a crowd of 2,000. Durrant claims, “That was an amazing night. In fact, we used footage of that in the video for our new single “Anthem For Broken People.”

The band was tapped for an emergency opening gig for Blue October’s sold-out show in November at The Complex. Durrant said, “Blue October reached out to us with about three hours to stage time. We dropped everything and ran to The Complex to play a last-second acoustic set.”

Blindlove’s recent show at Kilby court on December 21, 2022, was a chance to hear what they’ve been working on. They ripped through a tight set of new material, including notable new tracks like “Post Traumatic Brain” and “Uncomfortable Silence.”
