n Phoenix, AZ woman was shocked when her neighbors’ dog turned up at her door with a Nazi swastika painted on its head. Phoenix’s KPNX said that the woman — who asked to go unnamed — was immediately seized with fear due to the fact that she is of Hispanic heritage and her adopted children are racially mixed. The woman’s cousin Sally Andrade spoke with Channel 10 and said that the recent surge in racist violence in the U.S. made the moment particularly chilling. “She’s thinking, ‘What is this?’” Andrade said. “’Is this a message towards me? I have to protect my family.” The woman contacted animal control and the local police who returned the dog to its owners, who said they’d painted on the symbol as a joke.

Boner Candidate #2: I JOKE. I JOKE.

A small business owner in Lockport, Illinois, is defending a controversial sign that makes reference to transgender people outside his store after facing backlash from the local community. The sign, posted outside Richard Tisch’s pawn shop, reads, “Help wanted — must be female from birth.” Some Lockport residents blasted the sign on social media, calling it a slur against the transgender community, but the man responsible told WGN-TV it’s not meant to be offensive.

Boner Candidate #3: AH, YEAH…A LITTLE BIT OF DRUGS

She may have been on a pick-up line of her own. A woman was arrested outside a Fort Myers, Fla., middle school Tuesday after a sheriff’s deputy allegedly spotted her snorting cocaine off the screen of her smartphone while her car was parked in the student pick-up line. A Lee County sheriff’s deputy allegedly spotted Christina Hester, 39, using a credit card to chop up a white powdery substance sprinkled on her phone screen in a car parked outside Lexington Middle School around 3:50 p.m. Tuesday, Fox4Now.com reported. The deputy then allegedly saw Hester snort the substance through a straw, the report said.  The deputy then brought her inside her office, according to the Miami Herald, and asked Hester if she had anything in her car. The woman allegedly responded that she had “a little bit of drugs.”
