A litter of adorable piglets were rescued from a barn fire — only to be slaughtered and turned into “fantastic” sausages as a gift to the firefighters who saved them. Eighteen baby pigs and two sows were rescued when a fire broke out in February at the farm in Wiltshire, England, which ripped through more than 130,000 pounds of hay, according to the BBC. But six months later, in a cruel twist of fate, the piglets were butchered into bangers as a thank-you gift to the smoke-eaters. Farm manager Rachel Rivers defended the morbid offering. “I gave those animals the best quality of life I could ever give until the time they go to slaughter and they go into the food chain,” she said. “You do feel sad at the end of it … but to bring them down for [the firefighters] was a good way of saying ‘thank you.’”

A one-armed Maine man accused of startling neighbors by going for a stroll wearing a clown mask and brandishing a machete says it was supposed to be a prank. Thirty-one-year-old Hollis resident Corey Berry pleaded not guilty Wednesday to criminal threatening and weapons charges. Police say Berry was intoxicated but cooperative when they arrested him last month. They say he had a machete taped to the stump of his amputated arm and was wearing a mask to copy previous clown sightings.
Boner Candidate #3: WE ARE LOOKING INTO IT
Ryen Russillo, host of The Russillo Show on ESPN, was arrested for allegedly forcing his way into a Wyoming condo that he apparently thought was his while highly intoxicated, Jackson police told The Hollywood Reporter. The incident occurred around 3:30 a.m. on Wednesday when police were called on the report of an intoxicated man who refused to leave a condo, according to police. The 42-year-old ESPN personality was arrested on suspicion of criminal trespass after officers allegedly found him passed out in a bedroom of a stranger’s condo. Police noted Russillo allegedly did not seem to know where he was at the time of their arrival.
