Boner Candidate #1: WELL, JESUS DOES LOVE, RIGHT?
A Georgia mom and another woman were arrested after the mother’s 12-year-old daughter was found sporting a tattoo that read “Jesus Loves.” The tattoo, inked on the girl from Newnan, reportedly was spotted by a fifth-grade teacher at her school, who then alerted authorities. Another fifth-grade teacher saw the tattoo at a school dance, when the student wore a strapless dress. She described the tattoo as “bluish green with Jesus written above the cross and loves written below,” according to WTVM.
Boner Candidate #2: IF YOU ARE WHITE, YOU GOT NO WORRIES
A lieutenant from a police department in Georgia is under investigation after a dash-cam video obtained by Channel 2 Action News appears to show the officer telling a driver during a DUI stop, “Remember, we only kill black people.” Lt. Greg Abbott of the Cobb County Police Department reportedly asked the driver to grab her cell phone, but she replied she’s afraid to move her hands because she has “just seen way too many videos of cops…” Abbot responds, “But, you’re not black. Remember, we only shoot black people. We only kill black people, right? All the videos you’ve seen, have you seen the black people get killed?” The incident occurred in July 2016, and it was brought to light on Wednesday after Channel 2 Action News’ open-records request on Friday.
Boner Candidate #3: A CHRISTIAN CIVIL WAR
Televangelist Jim Bakker is predicting that Christians would begin a second civil war in the U.S. if President Trump were impeached. “If it happens, there will be a civil war in the United States of America. The Christians will finally come out of the shadows, because we are going to be shut up permanently if we’re not careful,” he said on “The Jim Bakker Show” in a clip highlighted by Right Wing Watch. He also warned that Christians are in danger of losing their voice in American society. “God says faith without works is dead. We have to do things, God has been standing with me, and I don’t know about you, it’s time for preachers like you, you’ve been doing it, to stand up and shout out,” Bakker told a pastor on the show.
