Actor Brad Pitt and filmmaker Peter Berg are teaming up for a documentary on the late Chris Cornell. The doc will focus on the life of the former Soundgarden and Audioslave frontman. Cornell’s widow, Vicky, is attached as a co-producer. Peter Berg is known for directing movies like Battleship and Mile 22, movies that exploit national tragedies as well as documentaries for ESPN’s 30 for 30 series and an upcoming Rihanna doc.
Cornell was just awarded a posthumous Grammy for Best Rock Performance for the song “When Bad Does Good.”
