Jack White just gave his mother a pretty cool birthday present. While traveling on the European leg of his Boarding House Reach solo tour, the former White Stripes frontman made sure to plan her birthday date in her homeland of Poland. To mark Mamma White’s 88th trip around the sun, Jack brought her out on stage Tuesday and led the crowd in singing the traditional Polish birthday song, “Sto Lat.”

Unfortunately, no video exists of the touching moment since cell phones are banned at his shows, but the singer did share a picture of the two together on his Instagram.
White’s tour returns to the States in November and next year he will release an album with his newly reunited The Raconteurs.
