John Lydon, aka Johnny Rotten, has lost his legal battle over the upcoming Sex Pistols TV series.
Lydon was suing his former bandmates, Steve Jones and Paul Cook, claiming the show couldn’t use Sex Pistols music without his permission.
On Monday, a UK judge sided with Jones and Cook, ruling that Lydon had “signed away his power to control the use of music rights” to publishing companies.

The show, Pistol, is based on Jones’ memoir Lonely Boy: Tales from a Sex Pistol. It’s being produced by FX and directed by Oscar-winner Danny Boyle.
