Korn Unveil ‘The Devil Went Down to Georgia’ Cover

Fans predicted it and now Korn has released a cover of Charlie Daniel’s southern classic “The Devil Went Down to Georgia” on Bandcamp, with vocalist Jonathan Davis and rapper Yelawolf trading verses as “the devil” and “Johnny”.

Davis says country music from the likes of Merle Haggard, Buck Owens, and Charlie Daniels “is some of the darkest ever…turning pain into some really powerful music” adding that “The Devil Went Down to Georgia” is a classic story.

All proceeds from the song go to the non-profit Awakening Youth, which helps young people faced with the loss of a parent, either through death, divorce, addiction, or other reasons.
