Tool Prank Fans With ‘New Song’ On April Fools Day

Tool fans have been waiting 13 years for a new album, so they might not have appreciated it when the band pranked them with a ‘new song’ on April Fools Day. The band shared a new song called “Sound Of Night Crickets” on Twitter. But anyone who played the track found it was nothing but 37 minutes of, well, crickets. At night. Tool have been known for pulling April Fools Day stunts over the years, and this time at least fans know the new album is coming soon – frontman Maynard J. Keenan says the record will be out ‘between Mid May and Mid July.’
