Nik Wallenda will attempt to successfully walk the hire wire over an active volcano tonight on national television. Although Wallenda has made death-defying stunts before, this one has the extra added pressure of being the highest and longest he’s ever done. Wallenda said he’s feeling a “little bit more angst” ahead of the attempt. He will deal with wind and heat. Wallenda will wear a face mask and oxygen tank to protect against the toxic gases of the Masaya volcano in Nicaragua. Volcano Live will air on ABC at 8:00 pm Eastern on Wednesday night.
