A Florida man is recovering from a gunshot wound to the face after he complained that employees of a local smoothie shop were taking too long to bring him his order.
The incident occurred Sunday night at Tropical Smoothie Cafe in Fort Pierce, authorities say. After the 39-year-old man ordered an item that was no longer on the menu, employees attempted to accommodate his request — but apparently took too long in doing so, according to Fort Pierce Police Department spokesman Mike Jachles. “He appeared to be vociferous; he was on a rant,” Jachles says.

The man was still ranting when another customer walked in, Jachles says. “He confronted the customer and at some point took out a gun and shot the customer in the face.” Although police conducted a “thorough” search of the neighborhood and nearby apartment complexes, the shooter remains at large, Jachles says.
Have you ever confronted an overly-irate customer? Does someone have to be really lucky to survive a gunshot to the face?
