Nike Wants To Resell Your (Lightly) Worn Shoes In Some Stores

In an effort to reduce waste, Nike has announced it will resell returned sneakers for a discount.

Nike officials said Monday it will accept shoes that are gently worn or have a manufacturing flaw (within a 60-day window from when they were purchased), then clean and sanitize them.

The refurbished shoes will then be displayed in a special section of some stores for a reduced price.

The company said shoes that can’t be given a second life will be converted into recycled material.

What do you think about this idea? Should other companies try something similar?
