What’s the point of owning one of the fastest cars around if you can’t drive it to work show it off in the office parking lot? That’s the logic behind the new Shelby GT-500 that Ford just unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show. Coming to showrooms this fall, the 2020 edition of the iconic brand will feature a 700-horsepower, 5.2 liter supercharged engine that the auto giant calls their “Most powerful street-legal Ford ever.” Specs say the car can hit 0-60 in 3.5 seconds, completing a quarter mile in under 11 seconds. According to Jalopnik, the starting price will be around $60,000, which is low for similar stocked sports cars.
