The BBC is reporting that 200 divorce petitions filed in the UK since the beginning of 2017 have cited Fortnite as the reason for their separation. While it is perceived to be a teen game, half of the players are fully employed adults. It is not specific as to why Fortnite has contributed to divorces, one can assume it has to do with it being both highly addictive and time-consuming.
Other addictions normally cited on divorce petitions are drugs, alcohol, and gambling.
