Gas prices have surged more than 40% since January – and aren’t done climbing yet.

The current nationwide average for a gallon of gas is $3.13 – the highest in seven years.

And with demand for summer travel still high, analysts believe prices will continue to go up through the end of August before finally leveling off in September.

Things still aren’t as bad as in 2008, when the national average was a whopping $4.11.

Has the price of gas affected your summer travel plans?
