A Washington D.C. cannabis activist group is planning on giving away a free bag of marijuana to those who receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
“DC Marijuana Justice” has announced the giveaway as vaccine centers open in the D.C. area. The campaign called “Joints For Jabs” is an effort to highlight cannabis policy reform at the national and local levels and bring awareness of the equitable distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine.
“If you believe in the science that supports medical cannabis, you should believe the science that supports the efficacy of the vaccine,” says co-founder of D.C. Marijuana Justice, Adam Eidinger.

Local cannabis growers have pledged three pounds of marijuana for the campaign and hope to have five pounds when the campaign starts. The group will also give out “Grosso’s Green” seeds in honor of marijuana patient, activist, and former D.C. Councilmember David Grosso, who left the city council last year.
