Every year LonelyPlant.com compiles a list of top spots to travel called “Best in Travel” and for 2021 the list changed in a big way, listing locations that celebrate community, diversity, and sustainability.
For “Best in Community” the list includes Australia which hosts post brush fire restoration work, and “invisible cities,” like the UK’s “homeless tours” given by people affected by homelessness.

“Best Cultural Diversity” goes to locations like San Diego and Costa Rica and when it comes to sustainability, Greece wins for best food destination and the Rocky Mountaineer train journey wins for its reduction of Co2 emissions.
