Women who smoke weed while pregnant are more likely to give birth to a child with “psychotic-like behavior.”
That’s according to a study published in Wednesday’s “JAMA Psychiatry” medical journal, which also found kids born to pot-smoking mothers are more likely to suffer from social problems, sleep issues, and weak cognitive abilities. The study’s authors say these problems may exist even if the mom quits smoking weed when she finds out she’s pregnant; and they’ll likely be even worse if she doesn’t.
