
For the first time in over a year, the TSA screened more than 1.5 million passengers on Sunday, despite continued warnings from health experts against non-essential air travel.
Monday also marked the 12th consecutive day that TSA checkpoint volume exceeded over 1 million passengers per day.

That hasn’t happened since March 2020 as well when a worldwide pandemic was declared.
Officials say the uptick is mostly travelers on Spring Break.
