TSA Reports 1.5 Million Travelers In A Single Day; First Time Since March 2020

For the first time in over a year, the TSA screened more than 1.5 million passengers on Sunday, despite continued warnings from health experts against non-essential air travel.

Monday also marked the 12th consecutive day that TSA checkpoint volume exceeded over 1 million passengers per day.

That hasn’t happened since March 2020 as well when a worldwide pandemic was declared.

Officials say the uptick is mostly travelers on Spring Break.
