What Will Restaurants Look Like in a Post-Coronavirus Industry?

Larry Lynch, the senior vice president of science and industry for the National Restaurant Association says he, “wishes he had a crystal ball” to determine what a post-coronavirus industry would look like.

Lynch believes that “the commitment to providing a safe experience will always be there,” but the emphasis on safety and cleanliness will be higher.

Social distancing and face masks will be of big importance and “Maybe the person taking the payment can’t be the one handling the food and there’s certainly a heavier focus on sanitation, on menus, and condiments. Anything on the tables that the customers could touch would need to be cleaned.”
