Evanescence had some of their gear destroyed by angry fans after their performance at Knotfest Mexico was canceled due to safety concerns. After a damaged barricade forced organizers to cancel sets by Slipknot and Evanescence, some upset fans stormed the stage and began destroying Evanescence’s gear, even lighting the drum set on fire. The band said on social media that they were ‘devastated’ by the destruction, but insisted they don’t hold it against their Mexican fans, but just a ‘handful’ of the 50,000 in attendance.
