Boner Candidate #1: IF I CAN SPOT RACE TRAITORS I CAN RUN THE AG DEPARTMENT

Sam Clovis, the climate-change-denying Iowa business professor with no formal scientific qualifications President Donald Trump has nominated to serve as chief scientist at the Dept. of Agriculture, should maybe have been a little more judicious about his blogging habits. CNN’s KFile dug up a number of blog posts written as recently as 2011 to 2012 for the since-deleted website of his old radio show, “Impact with Clovis.” There’s no charitable way to put this: They are the ravings of a person with no connection to reality, which is entirely predictable for someone Trump thinks is a scientist, but probably not a very good track record for someone supposed to be an actual scientist. In one post from September 2011, Clovis wrote Barack Obama associated with “socialists or worse, criminal dissidents,” adding “He has no experience at anything other than race baiting and race trading as a community organizer.” Another post written the month before urged Republican candidates in the 2012 primary elections to call out Democrats as “liars, race traders and race ‘traitors.’”

Boner Candidate #2: RIGHT. HAVE A BLESSED DAY.

An officer with the Estherwood, La., Police Department came under fire Monday after he shared a racist post on Facebook. After deflecting and attempting to defend the post several times, the officer has reportedly decided to tender his resignation to the department Tuesday night. KATC first reported on the situation Monday, indicating that it would not identify the officer in question because he had not been charged with any crime, but Twitter user @Freeyourmindkid found the post and shared screenshots of the page belonging to Wayne Welsh, who identified himself as the assistant chief of the Estherwood Police Department. The offensive post shows a white woman pushing her child’s head underwater in a bathtub with a caption that says, “When your daughters [sic] first crush is a little Negro boy.” As noted by KATC, Welsh eventually took the post down, but he made several other posts referencing it. Those posts were shared by other Twitter users via screenshots.

Boner Candidate #3: DIGGIN UP THE FAMILY JEWELS

This grandson was hardly a gem. A Kentucky man had his granny spinning in her grave – after digging her up to swipe her jewelry, according to a report. Grandson James Howard and his pal Tea Jay Luster were accused of digging out Emily Howard’s casket 15 years after she was laid to rest at Stacy’s Cemetery in Martin County, WSAZ reported. George Jude, Emily’s grandson-in-law, told the station that relatives initially had no idea who would commit such a vile act. “It hurt the family very much. They really weren’t expecting it to be part of the family that did it,” he said. “They had to be in a bad mindset.” “Anybody in their right mind I don’t think would’ve been up there digging out a grave. They put in a lot of work. It’s crazy,” he added. Police said a tip led them to the alleged gravediggers, who confessed to trying to dig the woman out of her crypt to steal and sell her bling. But Jude told WSAZ that Emily had been resting in eternity without any precious metals. “The only thing in her coffin when they buried her was a porcelain doll and six pictures,” Jude said. “Even if she had a ring or two on her, it wouldn’t have been worth going through all the trouble to dig it up. They put in a whole lot of work over nothing.” James has had ongoing problems, Jude said.
