Boner Candidate #1: IT’S HARD TO DRINK A BEER WHILE WEARING A HIJAB

An Iranian state television presenter has sparked outrage after footage emerged of her drinking beer without wearing a hijab while on holiday in Switzerland. The consumption of alcohol in Islam is prohibited and alcohol has been banned in Iran since the establishment of Islamic Republic government in 1979. Islamic dress codes are strictly enforced by ‘morality police’ in the country and women’s hair and body must be covered in public. Wearing the hijab, a head covering worn in public by Muslim women, is compulsory. Azadeh Namdari, who is also a presenter and actress, has actively endorsed wearing the hijab. Hard-line conservative Iranian newspaper Vatan-e Emruz published a photo of her in a full hijab in 2014 under the headline: “Thank God, I wear the veil”. The TV presenter has also been a keen proponent of the black chador which is a large piece of cloth that covers women from head to toe and leaves only the face exposed. It has been extolled by conservatives for offering women the best protection.

Boner Candidate #2: DON’T YOU KNOW WHO I AM?

An Anadarko city councilman is caught on tape bargaining with officers to get out of a DUI charge. Jeffrey Jason or “J.J.” Vance was arrested early Wednesday morning. It started with a routine traffic stop after an officer saw him swerving in his pickup truck, then run a red light. “Just prior to him failing to stop at the red light, another vehicle had gone through the light while it was yellow,” said Anadarko Police Chief Tracy Roles. “Mr. Vance was well behind that vehicle.” Vance admitted to the officer he had been drinking, but before the officer could walk back to his vehicle, body camera footage shows Vance mentioned one more thing.

Boner Candidate #3: I NEEDED A RIDE HOME

A 20-year-old man was arrested after police say he tried to steal a car. Not just any old car. A Fort Pierce police patrol vehicle. At the Fort Pierce Police Department. With a Fort Pierce police officer in it. Because who would ever notice? It happened about 5 a.m. July 17 as Officer Robie Troutman was in his patrol vehicle at the main police station on South U.S. 1 writing a report, according to his report. “While in my vehicle, I heard the rear passenger side door handle make noise and then the front passenger side door handle make noise, where I was positioned seated in the driver seat of my clearly marked Fort Pierce Police Department Patrol vehicle,” the report states. Troutman opened his door and reported seeing a man later identified as Aaron Orlando Rodriguez III run away and hide behind another vehicle. Troutman and another officer detained Rodriguez and found two cell phones, a portable speaker, a $20 bill and a pipe with marijuana residue. “Rodriguez said he saw my vehicle was running so he attempted to steal the vehicle so he had a ride home,” the report states.
