Duran Duran has announced The Future Past Tour

Duran Duran has announced a 26-date North American arena tour for 2023, with both Bastille and Nile Rodgers & CHIC joining them as special guests across the entire run. The Future Past Tour begins on May 28 in San Jose, CA, and will make stops across Seattle, Portland, Salt Lake City on June 3rd at the Delta Center (nice to say that again, isn’t it?), Austin, New Orleans, Dallas, Nashville, Atlanta, and Tampa before concluding the first leg in Florida on June 18. The tour will pick up again on August 24 in Sacramento, CA, with dates in Chicago, Boston, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., Detroit, and Toronto amongst many more.

When do tickets go on sale?

The day before Valentine’s Day, February 13, The Future Past Tour artist pre-sale begins at 10 am, offering DD VIP members a chance to spoil their loved ones or friends with an unforgettable night of music. Members (and those who wish to join) should visit www.duranduran.com and click the “members” tab for more details.

If you have a Citi card, you’re in luck. Citi is the official card of the Duran Duran tour. Citi card members will have access to presale tickets beginning Monday, February 13 at 2 pm local time until Wednesday, February 15 at 10 pm through the Citi Entertainment program. Additional pre-sales will be added on February 14 and will end on Wednesday, February 15 at 10 pm. Tickets go on sale to the general public starting Thursday, February 16 at 10 am.

Speaking about the upcoming dates, Simon Le Bon reveals, “It’s remarkable to me that as a band, we are still hitting new milestones, and introducing the sound of DD to new generations of music lovers. “Future Past”

Enlisting the help of some of the most exciting names of the last 50 years, with ‘Future Past,’ Duran Duran has delivered another incredible genre-spanning piece of work that once again sets them apart from the pack. Working alongside DJ / producer Erol Alkanand pioneering Italian composer & producer Giorgio Moroder, who added his magic to create two instant future classics (‘Beautiful Lies,’ and ‘Tonight United’), as well as some of the most unexpected and inspiring names in pop – including Swedish hitmaker, Tove Lo on ‘Give It All Up,’ ‘Queen of Drill’ Ivorian Doll on ‘Hammerhead’and Japan’s Chai on ‘More Joy!’.

In addition, Blur’s Graham Coxon co-wrote and lends his guitar to several tracks on the record and David Bowie’s former pianist Mike Garson adds an exquisite sonic layer to album closer ‘Falling’. The record, which was recorded across studios in London and LA over lockdown, also features long-time collaborator Mark Ronson who co-wrote and played on ‘Wing,’ and was mixed by Mark ‘Spike’ Stent.

The deluxe edition of ‘Future Past (Complete Edition)’ is out now via BMG. The 2LP set includes all 15 tracks from Future Past plus Duran Duran’s cover of David Bowie’s “Five Years”. The first LP is red, the second is green. The gatefold package features a new silver/grey version of the cover art and also includes two 12″ x 12″ art booklets.
