Could Eddie Vedder one day represent the people in the US Senate? Probably not. But he did receive a vote in Florida. The Pearl Jam frontman was written in on a ballot submitted by a fan in the Sunshine State, where the candidates in the race are the incumbent Democrat Senator Bill Nelson and challenger Republican Governor Rick Scott. The Seattle rockers have always been political, recently calling for a day off so Americans can get to the polls, writing on their website, “We believe Election Day should be a national holiday and that our democracy is at its best when every voice is heard.”
Pearl Jam’s August fundraising show for Senator Jon Tester in Montana was just named the third biggest concert in the state by Billboard.
