Korn Bassist Launches Career as an Artist

Bassist Fieldy Arvizu found a new hobby to occupy some of the time between Korn’s 2016 album “The Serenity of Suffering” and the group’s upcoming release — and now he wants to share it with fans. For a price, that is. Arvizu says he’s taken up mixed media painting over the past year and now he’s auctioning off autographed prints of his work online. “From February 2018 – February 2019, during a difficult time in my life, I unexpectedly began a journey of mixed media painting on canvas,” he wrote in a Facebook post. “The result are these 10 characters I created that I call ‘Izms.’ Without any real knowledge of what I was doing, I just dove in and found a place of creative peace. Now I’m excited to share ‘Izms’ with you.”

The 49-year-old musician and his bandmates are currently putting the final touches on their new album, which is tentatively due this Fall. Then they’ll head out for a co-headlining tour with Alice In Chains, which kicks off July 18th in Texas.
