Perhaps it’s because Tom Morello is a pretty political guy that it made sense for him to present the Dick Cheney biographical comedy-drama Vice at the Oscars on Sunday night. But the choice had many on Twitter scratching their heads. First up was comedian Mike Lawrence who mocked the former Rage Against The Machine guitarist, writing, “Dear Tom Morello, if you present at the Oscars you are officially a part of the Machine #Oscar2019.” TNT Drop The Mic writer Dashiell Driscoll jumped on too, tweeting, “Tom Morello in a tuxedo looks like Vin Diesel with a terminal illness,” while marketing executive Sarah Holmes added, “John Mulaney looking perplexed as Tom Morello presents at the #Oscars is all of us.” At least rock VJ Matt Pinfield was there for Morello, posting, “Seeing our friend the amazingly talented and always well-spoken Tom Morello on the Oscars made my night. Now it will be complete if Bohemian Rhapsody sweeps.”
