Tool’s 2019 album Fear Inoculum is finally getting a vinyl release – albeit a very expensive and hard-to-get one.

On Sunday, the band shared an unboxing video of the set, which includes the album on five 180g vinyl discs with music on one side and etched art on the other, along with extensive artwork and liner notes.

For now, the set is only available as an autographed tour item – which according to social media posts is selling for a whopping $810 at the band’s concerts.

A full release is due “sometime in April”.

Has the vinyl renaissance gone too far if we’re charging $810 for one album?
