Most guitar players can talk guitars and gear all day – but not Modest Mouse frontman Isaac Brock.
Brock sat down with Guitar World and made a startling confession – he doesn’t have a favorite guitar.
He says time spent trying to find the perfect combination of guitar and amp is “just time spent not writing”. Instead, “the nearest guitar is the guitar I’m going to play because it’s what’s here right now.”

In fact, Brock initially didn’t want any guitars on the band’s new album The Golden Casket – but changed his mind after a few days.
