Kesha Drops Sex Assault Lawsuit Against Dr. Luke In CA but is Going Forward in NY
Kesha is dismissing the sexual assault lawsuit she filed against Dr. Luke in California, but going full steam ahead with a similar case in NY. Kesha’s filing Monday to drop the case comes after a nearly 2-year battle with her famous producer. It also comes as she attempts to get her career back on track by releasing a slew of new songs. Her attorney, Daniel Petrocelli, says, “We have conveyed to Sony Music and the label Kesha’s strong desire to release her next album and single as soon as possible.” He added that she’s delivered 28 new tracks to the label.
Legal tab for Prince estate is $2M and counting
The legal bills for sorting out Prince‘s estate are already running into the millions. The special administrator overseeing Prince’s estate is seeking permission to pay several law firms for work on the estate, with the biggest share — $1.9 million — going to the Stinson Leonard Street firm. Smaller amounts push the tab near $2 million, through June 30. Prince died on April 21 of a drug overdose. He was 57. The special administrator, Bremer Trust, listed the fees in a document made public Monday. Bremer also asked the court handling Prince’s estate to approve its own fees — but filed those amounts under seal.
Shannen Doherty’s cancer has spread
Shannen Doherty has revealed that her cancer has spread. “I had breast cancer that spread to the lymph nodes, and from one of my surgeries we discovered that some of the cancer cells might have actually gone out of the lymph nodes,” Doherty told “Entertainment Tonight” in a new interview. “So for that reason, we are doing chemo, and then after chemo, I’ll do radiation.” The 45-year-old actress, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in February 2015, said “the unknown is always the scariest part.”

Taylor Swift didn’t leave much of an impression on Britney Spears.
When an Australian radio station engaged Spears in a game of “Would You Rather?” she accidentally shaded the “Bad Blood” singer. When hosts asked Spears if she’d rather sit next to Swift or Katy Perry on a 24-hour flight, Spears was briefly flummoxed. “I don’t know! This is hard,” she said. “They’re both so cool, I don’t know. I briefly met Katy Perry but that was it, at the ‘Smurfs’ movie premiere … Actually you know, because I’ve met Katy Perry, I’d go with Taylor Swift. I’ve never met her before.” Except that she has: In 2008, Spears posed with Swift for a photo at the MTV Video Music Awards — the year before Kanye West stormed the stage during Swift’s acceptance speech.

Add Kat Dennings and Josh Groban to the list of unexpected summer splits. The couple of nearly two years have decided to call it quits, sources confirmed to E! News.“It was a mutual breakup,” said the insider. “They are still friends and care about each other, but it’s not the right time for them now as a couple.” After being introduced by her “2 Broke Girls” co-star Beth Behrs, Dennings, 30, and Groban, 35, made their red carpet debut as a couple in October 2014. And as the actress later revealed on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” it was Groban’s social media snark that prompted the spark. “He’s very witty on the Twitter and I saw his little tweets … and sometimes we would ,” Dennings said. “But, yeah [Behrs has] always talked about how great he is. They’ve been friends for years. And she thought we were both, you know, nerds. So there, she was right.”

Lea Michele‘s telling the naked truth about her body. “When I left ‘Glee,’ I needed something to replace all the dancing about I was doing,” the 29-year-old tells the September issue of Women’s Health UK. “Right now, I feel physically in my best shape and emotionally in my best place.” She credits her positive outlook and appearance to SoulCycle, where she takes a class every other day. “I’m not the kind of person who would go to the gym,” she explained. “For me, working out has to be good for my mind too, and when I leave [spinning class at SoulCycle], the endorphins are buzzing. I’m glowing and I feel like I can take on the world.” Despite what others may think of her body, Michele thinks she’s still got room for improvement.
Ja Rule takes Kanye’s place at Hamptons gala
Ja Rule filled in nicely after Kanye West canceled his performance at the Watermill Center gala on Saturday. West had agreed a week before to collaborate with the center’s director, Robert Wilson, but the rapper demanded such an elaborate set, it couldn’t be done, sources said. “Guests were arriving hoping to hear Kanye sing as Kim Kardashian writhed onstage, hopefully naked,” one guest told me. “Ja Rule was in his publicist’s office when she got the call saying Kanye could no longer make it. Ja Rule said he would do it,” said another source. “He was really great,” said the guest. “He performed three songs, and even bid on some art.”
Props used in iconic movies to hit the auction block

A collection of rare movie props — from blockbusters like “Jaws,” “Star Wars” and “The Dark Knight Rises” — will hit the auction block in London for nearly $2 million next month, organizers said Monday. The Tinseltown treasures include a Batsuit worn by Christian Bale in the 2012 Batman flick, which is expected to fetch $79,000. The “Batpod” — a super-motorcycle from the same movie — could also rake in up to $105,000, according to Prop Store, which is putting on the auction. Other movie-nerd goodies include a clapperboard from Steven-Spielberg’s 1975 thriller “Jaws,” which is expected to sell for $52,000 and a Tie Pilot Helmet from “Star Wars: A New Hope,” which could rake in up to $92,000, according to organizers. More than 500 pieces of movie memorabilia will go up for auction on September 27 at BFI Imax in the Waterloo section of London.
Tyga: Expensive Pet Tiger Ain’t MY Problem Now
Tyga is nothing but a deadbeat dad to the tiger he illegally owned … at least in the eyes of the sanctuary that’s now racking up HUGE costs to care for the animal. The big cat’s now called Maverick and it’s living at Lions, Tigers & Bears non-profit rescue in So Cal, but the staff tells us Tyga’s never made any effort to help out with his care. Founder and director Bobbi Brink tells TMZ … it costs more than $10k a year just to feed a 500lb tiger like Maverick, plus there are vet costs, flea control and general maintenance. She says they rely on public donations to cover costs. We’re told the rapper hasn’t so much as said thanks to the facility. You’ll recall, Tyga faced criminal charges for having the exotic pet. He eventually surrendered it to animal control, which transferred the tiger to LT&B.
