It was only a matter of time before the success of R-rated superhero movie Deadpool began shifting the plans of other studios with comic-book movie projects in the works. And now, the first film to follow the mouthy mercenary’s lead now appears to hail from the franchise that originally introduced Wade Wilson to the big screen. A new, unconfirmed report suggests that 20th Century Fox is planning to embrace an R rating for the next installment of the Wolverine franchise.

Danny Pudi, Alan Tudyk Join Powerless, NBC’s DC Comics Superhero Comedy

NBC’s Powerless is gaining some serious geek cred. Community‘s Danny Pudi and Firefly‘s Alan Tudyk have joined the DC Comics-infused sitcom pilot as series regulars, TVLine has learned. Christina Kirk (A to Z, Manhattan) has also been added to the cast, which — as reported earlier this week — will be led by High School Musical grad Vanessa Hudgens.
