If you have a ticket to fly somewhere soon, you might want to have a backup plan.

In a memo obtained by USA Today, United Airlines CEO Scott Kirby said 3,000 U.S. employees have tested positive for coronavirus and are currently out of work.

That is forcing a bunch of flight cancellations because of staff shortages.

On Tuesday, 149 United flights were canceled.

JetBlue and Alaska have also cut flights due to an unprecedented number of sick calls.

Southwest Airlines’ pilots’ union confirmed it had 600 pilots out in one day earlier this month.
