A rock that has been used as a doorstop for decades turns out to be a valuable piece from outer space. The 22-pound rock is actually a meteorite that’s worth $100,000. The owner of the space rock inherited it when he bought a Michigan farm 30 years ago. The farm’s former owner told him it was a meteor that crashed down back in the 1930’s. As the rock’s owner moved around, the meteor served as a doorstop and a show-and-tell item for his kids. The man finally decided to get the meteor inspected to see how much it was worth. Now it’s up to the owner to take bids from collectors or museums interested in possessing the meteor.
