Angry Passengers Try To Break Into Cockpit After Flight Delayed Four Hours

After sitting inside the cabin for over four hours while the crew worked out technical problems that kept the plane grounded at the airport, passengers on Air India flight AI865 finally had enough. Perhaps figuring they’d just fly it themselves, several stormed the cockpit last Thursday, demanding, “If you don’t open the door, I will break the door.” One fed-up woman even tried leaving via the emergency exit. Eventually, everyone was allowed off and sent from Mumbai seven hours after their originally scheduled departure. For now, no one has been charged with any crimes, says UK’s The Sun, although new rules in India could ban them from all flights for two years.
