•Crucialfest 7

Kicking off today and running through September 3rd! From STRFRK (who I highly recommend) to Minus the Bear to King Dude, Utah’s Beachmen and a lot more in various venues in Salt Lake. If you just love to see live music, this is two days of Christmas. You do not want to miss this. It’s the closest we have to a music festival in downtown Salt Lake!

•The Roots at Twilight Concert Series

It’s over! The summer is dead. It’s the final Twilight. Get a pumpkin-spice high colonic and put that sweater on! The Roots and Charles Bradley and His Extraordinary Band close out the 2017 Twilight Concert Series and I suspect it will be the most crowded of the season, so get there early if you want to see the stars. You know The Roots from “The Seed 2.0” and your mom knows them from “that nice man, Jimmy’s show.” A time for all. Get your mum loaded up on Bud Lite and 2nd high lifted.

•ZZ Top at Red Butte

Women used to love a sharp dressed man. Well, it’s 2017 and after extensive polling, women like a well-coiffed man. How about them times and how they change? Anyway, the bearded ones meet the BYOB crowd at Red Butte. Get your legs and get there early. Better yet, hit the classified because this is sold out. The only shows not sold out are Haim (because they suck) and Gov’t Mule.

•University of Utah vs. North Dakota at Rice Eccles Stadium

It’s actually the first day of tailgating. Put down that protractor and copy of “Ethan Frome” and get out to see your uncle who lied about going to the U puke in a parking lot after down 3 brats, 7 High Life beer bongs, and 3 shots of Jager! I’m told some guys will be playing football at some point, too. I did hear an unsubstantiated rumor that if they U wins this game, tuition is half off this semester…if only. Hey, I can talk as much shit I want. I’m still paying on my student loans. GO UTES!

•The Austrailian Pink Floyd Show at USANA

I still don’t understand this, but 4 of my friends are going. I’ll go, but I am not sure I’ll understand it any better after. Pretty excited to hear “Money” on a didgeridoo. Don’t have time tonight? Good news! They are doing it all again tomorrow night!
