Artist Jill Pelto will present her work, “Mountains Made of Data: Sharing Science Stories through Art,” at Sundance Mountain Resort as part of the Voices of Nature artist series.
Pelto’s environmental art incorporates data to visualize and understand changing landscapes and communities affected by climate change. Her work focuses on stories around snowpack, water, and ecosystems impacted by rising sea levels.
Pelto, also the art director of the North Cascade Glacier Climate Project, combines her passion for art and science to communicate the risks posed by climate change and inspire action to care for the Earth.
