It’s official – the FDA says it is now illegal to sell tobacco to anyone under the age of 21. Last week, the White House signed off on a bill that would increase the legal age within the next six months. But it looks like the new rules are already in effect. The FDA’s website has now been updated to read “It is now illegal for a retailer to sell any tobacco product – including cigarettes, cigars, and e-cigarettes – to anyone under 21.”
Do you agree with the change? How have attitudes about smoking and tobacco use changed during your lifetime?
The FDA has officially changed the federal minimum age to purchase tobacco from 18 to 21. https://t.co/FM5s3OC7Q9
