Fresh X: Local Act ‘Westward The Tide’ Soars With ‘Wild Life’

Salt Lake City’s local indie-folk group, Westward The Tide, have come back with a new single that offers a much more expansive sound than their previous album, Sorry Soul.

Instead of a stripped down acoustic feel that most of their previous songs have been built on, Wild Life has synth and digital beats built the atmosphere of the song while while an electric guitar riff soars in and out of the vocal melodies.

The band seems to be moving in a direction that is more similar to bands like Bloc Party, Two Door Cinema Club, and Foals. Take a listen below:
