It was definitely bad news for this bear in Southeast Alaska.
An Alaska Airlines jetliner hit a brown bear while landing Saturday night at the Yakutat Airport, killing the animal.
Another bear also spotted near the runway was not hurt.

No passengers were hurt either.
The plane did receive some significant damage that needs to be fixed.
