Open Mic Captures Troy Aikman, Joe Buck Dissing Military Flyover

As announcers for Fox Sports, Troy Aikman and Joe Buck have undoubtedly seen countless military flyovers in pregame ceremonies. Maybe too many.

During Sunday’s pregame festivities leading up to the match between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Green Bay Packers, Aikman and Buck could be heard talking about the jets that had just flown over Tampa’s Raymond James Stadium — obviously unaware that their microphones were hot. Aikman said, “That’s a lot of jet fuel just to do a little flyover.” Buck added, “That’s your hard-earned money and your tax dollars at work.” And finally, Aikman responded, “That stuff ain’t happening with a Kamala-Biden ticket, I’ll tell you that right now, partner.”

According to the Washington Post, a flyover by a squadron of jets typically costs at least $60,000 an hour.

Should Aikman and Buck be reprimanded for what they said? Do you think military flyovers are a waste of money?
