The pilot of a small plane absolutely nailed his emergency landing, safely bringing his aircraft down on a busy San Diego freeway after experiencing engine trouble. The pilot brought the plane down on Interstate 8 near El Cajon in San Diego County – gently dropping in between moving cars, while avoiding any power lines or other obstacles. The pilot, 25-year-old Ryan Muno, was giving a lesson to a student at the time. No injuries were reported and a video of the landing shot by a motorist has been viewed more than 1.5 million times.
What a story coming out of San Diego! Congratulations to former Navigator Ryan Muno who is being hailed as a hero for safely landing a plane on the freeway after the engine failed! https://t.co/OkejylGbC8 @SDSUBaseball
