The National UFO Reporting Center stayed busy in 2019 because there were nearly 6,000 reports of UFO sightings in North America in 2019, up from nearly 3,400 in 2018. Center officials can’t say why there was such an increase in sightings for 2019. They also don’t want you to think little green aliens are about to land in America, either. UFO stands for unidentified flying object. Sometimes people think they’re seeing an alien spaceship when it actually might be a drone or a satellite. SpaceX, for example, has launched 180 new satellites into space in 2019.
Want to see a UFO? Head to California! California had the most UFO sightings, 485, in 2019. You can also head to Florida or Washington state to increase your UFO-spotting odds; those two, along with California, make the top three sites to see UFOs in North America.
California, Florida and Washington led the country with the most number of UFO sightings. https://t.co/HXoXF0MAk5
