Utah Man Uses 3D Printer To Make Storm Trooper Suit

If the Rebel Alliance ever launches another attack, one Utah man is ready to defend his own Death Star. Nils Rasmusson, a computer software engineer, and huge Star Wars fan used an army of 3D printers to make a bulletproof Storm Troopers uniform. “(It’s) just a nerdy, fun idea we came up with and decided to give it a try,” said Rasmusson, who adds, “I love the outfits, and the characters on the dark side guys in particular.”
According to Rasmusson, the entire project took 400 to 600 hours, spread out over 5 machines. The helmet, for instance, is made up of 19 different pieces.

Utah man…quite different from Florida Man.
