Orlando Florida’s WKMG reports that a woman prevented a man from jumping off of the ledge of an overpass by using Linkin Park lyrics. The woman saw the suicidal man on the ledge, parked and got out of her car to help him. A county sheriff’s body camera footage shows the woman sitting on the ledge and calmly speaking to the man. Healthcare worker Christina Settanni can be seen reciting the lyrics to Linkin Park’s “One More Light”, saying “Who cares if one more light goes out? Well, I do.” The man got off the ledge and wasn’t arrested but rather taken to a mental health facility. Settanni said she stopped because “I’ve been where he is. He needed someone to show they cared.”
