Hozier Gives Surprise Performance In NYC Subway Station

Most New Yorkers are accustomed to pushing past subway buskers and performers, so it’s surprising they actually stopped to check out one on Wednesday evening. But it’s a good thing they did. Hozier took over the Rockefeller Center station, serenading straphangers with songs off his latest record, Wasteland, Baby! “Dropped in on some New Yorkers’ commute home tonight for a quick subway session,” the Irish rocker captioned video on his Instagram, showing off the first single from the record, “Almost (Sweet Music)”. Backed by a band including a keyboardist and singers, Hozier also treated fans to his monster hit, “Take Me To Church.”
