In an effort to stem the spread of misinformation, YouTube has announced it’s banning videos that make false claims about the COVID-19.
In an announcement made Wednesday, officials with the video platform said they’re removing all content that seems to contradict “expert consensus” from the World Health Organization and local health departments. Conspiracy theories surrounding the coronavirus vaccine will also be yanked, according to YouTube officials.
