Some restaurants are charging an insane price for a simple dish. This one might be over the top. A restaurant in Melbourne, Australia is getting attention for their $18 deconstructed avocado toast. Yes, It’s just 2 pieces of toast, half an avocado, feta cheese, lime wedge and a salt sprinkle you have to put together. A radio host and journalist posted about this travesty on Instagram. She captioned the photo saying, “For that money, I didn’t think I’d assemble the dish myself.”
The restaurant manager says the avocado toast has been served that way since they opened and is one of the most popular items there.
